We're so excited that you're here!
This platform was created by Sylvia (left) and Shaïna (right) who had a vision of creating a space to reimagine 'wellness'.
We aim for this to be a place for all who've felt left out by fitness & wellness spaces before, to build community, find inspiration, and get support.
Our focuses will be fitness as joyful movement, self-care, mental health, and spiritual well-being.
Since we're truly focused on creating a community we felt it only right to tell you more about ourselves!
My name is Sylvia, I'm a queer Latinx woman and my pronouns are she/her. I was born and mostly raised in Miami, Florida and my ethnic background is Nicaraguan/Cuban.
The reason why I wanted to create Mx. Lifestyle + Wellness was to be able to have a space in which all people could find joy in movement without the pressures and violence of diet culture, body shaming, ableism, transphobia, homophobia, racism, and other systems that tell us we aren’t good enough.
I’ve experienced the struggles of what it means to be controlled by diet culture and now as I move away from that and find freedom in truly reconnecting to my body I want to make space for more people to be able to do that - in whatever way feels best for them!
So with that being said, I'll be here to guide you through joyful movement and speak on topics like HAES (Health At Every Size) & food freedom. Excited for all that is to come!
My name is Shaïna (pronounced shy-nah), I'm a black Haitian-American, queer, non-binary femme and my pronouns are they/them.
I’m a highly sensitive person (HSP), spiritual empath, creative, crystal-loving astrology enthusiast, canna-advocate, chronic illness warrior, and an eating disorder recovery/anti-diet advocate *takes breath* & that’s only bits and pieces of what makes me, me!
I'll be running a lot of the behind the scenes operations along with poppin' in here and there to share inspiration along with discuss topics like self-care, mental health, living with chronic illness and more! I'm excited to be creating this platform as a space that I feel I've always craved and had a hard time finding. We have so many exciting things that we'll launch through this platform moving forward but the main thing about Mx. Lifestyle + Wellness for me is creating community! So again I say: I'm SOOO happy you are all here and I can't wait to see where this journey takes us all!
Comment something about yourself below & let's connect! We looking forward to meeting you all.
